I have an 02 non turbo manual Pt and it has recently become very laggy when i press on the accelerator, and it jumps and shakes when I try to drive a neighborhood speeds. Today it even died at a stop light. My Pt only has 49k miles on it. What do you think the problem could be?

Wesinator,
I agree with jccc that spark plugs may help you but also plug wires. We can only throw parts at you with the little information you provide. What mileage do you have? When was the last time you changed plugs and wires? Are you anywhere near 90K and did you have the timing belt changed? Was any kind of work done to your PT in the last couple of weeks?

Its got 49k miles on it, i just put a glass pack on, i don't think plugs and wires have ever been changed, or timing belt. I'm not really sure what the guy who owned it before me did to it, but i got it with 40k miles on it.

well, its been getting worse, and yesterday it wouldn't even start while i was at school. So, i took it to a mechanic and i'm sure that they will find plenty wrong with it.
