As a owner of a former PT GT - i do happen to have an engine for sale - the exhaust manifold has a small crack in it but could be fixed easily by buying a header - i decided to take a different approach and turn this into a project -

so what im trying to say here is dont waste the money oh trying to build the na - buy a motor that is ready to be abused -

A header won't work on the turbo engine. I do find it interesting that people will put a V* in a pt with lack of traction being a major issue.

the V8 just sounded like a good idea - its not too bad of a swap so far - but its not on the street yet. lol

also im sure you could find a stock manifold or maybe weld the one i have - im not sure what it would take to fix it.

Cool Re: Performance Modifications?

dropped the PT at the shop over the weekend to be worked on all this week, did get a PT GT Engine the guy said it was only 23k miles on it Highway but idk. but so far everything is going great. got some parts and gauges from auto zone and some aftermarket parts for the headlights 6000k Xenon's for the headlights, high beams, fog lights and the exterior lights on the top of it. but i got an idea of how its gonna look, but wont know until the final touches in the shop are complete. ill try to get pics up but if i have to leave then ill get em up once i get down south. but the mechanics expect the weight of the car to be around 4500k which i think is more. not sure on how much the car weighs now stock. my guess is 3500 or something. but im modifying the engine, turbo, frame a lil bit, gauges, transmission, but nothing to the exterior except for the lights going on the top of the cruiser and the flashing warning light. but other than those nothing else really. already got rims, Michelin Hydro edge tires and im pretty much set. will update when everything comes together. oh yea, if anyone knows of any projector headlights for the PT let me know. not the fog lights just the headlights.
