Whenever I try to use my turn signals / directionals / flashers or my emergency flashers, they do not work at all! My headlights and fog lights work without a problem.
I checked the fuse, replaced the relay, replaced the multidirectional controller (the switch that turns the flashers and lights on) and I checked the cable that plugs into the controller. Any ideas? |

Hmm post it over on PT.crew and see what happens.

You can go to PT.Crew but they are mostly interested in speed.
If both the turn signals AND emergency flasher aren't working, it could be the flasher unit that's attached to the multi-function switch. You said you changed the "multidirectional controller" and that might be the same thing I just mentioned but when you do change it, the flasher must be taken from the old switch and placed on the new one. They don't come with the new switch. If you did change it over, you might have just changed over a bad flasher over to the new switch.

Thanks for taking a picture - but that's the relay and I tried replacing it already. Although all of my bulbs were working at the start of the project, I'm going to pick up new ones tomorrow. The worst part is that you have to take your tire off to change one of those bulbs. If you think of anything else, please let me know.

You don't have to take the tire/wheel off. It is easier to jack the side of the car up so the wheel drops a bit but once you do that, just turn the wheel your working on towards the opposite side of the car and you have all the room you need to take the oblong cover off and change the bulbs. Done it many times.

Thanks Crewzin, I'll use your method when changing the bulb.

So I used my key remote to lock and unlock the car doors and that's when I noticed my front directionals are working, but it doesn't look like my rear directionals (either of them) are working. I'm going to go replace them now, but this sounds like a wiring issue to me. Can anyone tell me what pins from the multicontroller go to the rear directionals? Rear break lights are fine. |
