Alternator test??
Hi, I have a 2003 non turbo sedan pt cruiser, I have to change the battery to a new one, when I do that on my other car, I start it, with the car working, I disconnect the battery in order to check if the alternator is charging properly, so the car keeps running with the battery unplugged.
On the Pt Cruiser, it didnīt happend. When I disconnect the battery , the car go off. Is this normal ?, or the alternator is failing?. Thanks.

You cant do that type of test on any newer car. You may have just fried your alt.
