Default Just bought first PT Cruiser

Picked up a new white 08 base model. Wanted an automatic, but got a deal on a manual (11500 out the door, at least I think this was a good deal). Have been looking at these cars for a while now, they grew on me! Looking forward to enjoying it!

Will do, thanks! General question, are manual tranny's more reliable in general or less reliable than automatics?

creflo, Welcome to the Forum!! You said you bought a white PT, Cool Vanilla or Stone White??

You will get better mileage with a Manual vs Auto Tranny, depending on your driving habits.

so the owners manual says don't use armor all on the dash, just moist rag. What about protecting from the sun's rays? Do you guys avoid Armor All?

Welcome aboard Crefla, you may want to get a dash cover but I have never had any problems using armorall.Only in moderation It may build up in the texture if you over do it.
sounds like you got good feedback on the manual vs auto, good luck, Ray Pteazer

Here in Florida I use a dash cover for protection. In some of the earlier years they have had a problem with the dashes cracking.
