Hi guys, i am looking at buying a PT cruiser as a family car and also to promote my bike paint business. I love the looks and styling, i think with an air brushed paint job it would be a great advertising tool as well as practical. I have now got one of my bikes on Ebay to fund it.
My concern is that being in the Uk i have been told that parts are very pricey over here, i have found one site that has a good range of spares at reasonable prices but if that company should hit bad times like many are will i be stuck with a car that i cant afford to fix. Are there any UK owners that have experience of finding/buying parts, bear in mind that i can do some mechanics my self and have a mate with a garage so it is the price of parts alone that concerns me. I have done a fair bit of searching and have identified most of the weaknesses, though 80k on a cam belt does sound a little long, usualy around the 25k mark i would have thought. |

Andy-- Cambridge England, I have not had any trouble finding parts at all. Dealers are able to supply anything you need so far. Dealer service and repair is a diff story, stand by for the rip off. Lot of good shops that are fair. Go for it the PT is a fantastic car.
