2008 PT. What do you think?

Used car lot selling a red 2008 PT (Automatic + AC) with 24000 miles small ding on hood for $6900 includes 6 month extended warranty. This price does not include TTTF. This is the deal i reached today he would not budge on the price but gave me the warranty which reduced the price of the car to $6675 but with warrant comes to the final price of $6900. i really want this car. What do you think? Good Deal?

Bounds like a good price to me. When you say you get 6 months warranty is that on everything? On my 2008 you get a lifetime warranty on engine, transmission. Or is this a continuation of the 36 month 36000 miles?

Is the car a Base, Touring or Limited model? The price would depend on which model. Do a Blue Book search.

Liffetime powertrain warranty is availalbe only to the first owner--3/36 for all others.

Do a CarFax on it and ask if it was a Buy back car. If all is well, GO FOR IT!

Been doing so many carfax and autochecks that i lost count so i double checked Carfax and Autocheck nothing funny. Checked both edmunds and kbb price is well below both. However, the dealer said it was used to test goodyear tires (not sure if thats good or bad) but does explain why it has brand new tires. i was really nervous but decided to take my chances and purchased the car today. Always wanted a PT so i am really happy. i can't stop smiling.

Congrats on the purchase. Sounds like you got quite a deal. I was told when I bought mine that I didn't buy a car, I bought a lifestyle. Its true, the PT community is awesome. One word of warning, watch out for the mod bug. When it bites you, it bites hard. It tends to do severe damage to your wallet and free time. As of right now, there is no cure.
