Default Back for a while plus a problem with my friends PT Cruiser

My friend also has a 2001 PT Cruiser and there are a number of things he has questions about.

1. He hears a loose sound when he goes over bumps or tracks. He got the balljoint and suspension fixed/replaced but the sound is still there.

2. when he steps on the gas it sounds like the cruiser has to really struggle to get up to speed.

3. Moisture somehow keeps getting into his tail light assembly.

Any help on any of those would be a great help to him but im posting this because he has no way of getting on here.

Front or rear? I had a rattle, turned out to be my spare tire wasn't tight.

2. when he steps on the gas it sounds like the cruiser has to really struggle to get up to speed. First thing to do is replace plugs and wires - gap plugs at 0.040

3. Moisture somehow keeps getting into his tail light assembly.
One screw (torqx) holds in taillight- take it out, look at the bulb socket - should be a rubber gasket- if nothing obvious, a new tailight isn't expensive...

What is meant by PLUGS? I always hear it but i'm 16 and clueless, I know plugs mean spark plugs, but are the wires the wiring from the spark plugs to wherever else it runs?

Plug wires are called wires, and MOPAR wires are not good. Ger MOPAR Performance, Cranes or some other maker other that original wires.

the loose sound comes front the front, he already checked the spare tire and its locked in tight.
