5-Gage Window Switch

SO, my front two windows are out of commission due to the switch reaching the end of its life. I took the switch out of my mom's cruiser to verify it was in fact my switch. Any recommendations as to where to purchase a new one?

O, and how do I add a picture of my cruiser to my profile on this site?

eBay - have seen them there, often from a parted-out car.

Years back, my wifes MPV van had a problem with the window switch - the drivers door one gets used most and would go down but not up. I took the assembly out and the switch apart - finding the contacts soot'ed over from sparking. I sanded the soot off and it worked fine. Took me about an hour total.

I tried to take the window switch from my 04 apart but it was sealed. And you are right, a bit of sandpaper is probably the fix if you can get it apart. I just bought a new one from the dealer.

I contacted my local Chrysler dealer and found out the master window switch costs $131. Upon finding that out, I decided to hit a junk-yard where I obtained a functional/matching switch for $45. I feel like I came out on top!

The installation part of the process couldn't be any easier!

WoW $131. Two years ago I paid about $98 from a dealer here in Portland, but no sales tax in Oregon.

Now for the question about the picture. Go up to the top and click on User CP, then look around for " Edit Profile Picture" and follow the instructions.

the switches will come apart. It is a pain in the butt to do, but it can be done. I took the switches apart on my 01 to paint the housing.
