What can be done to correct the hard downshift bump from 2-1 when coming to a stop? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes ATF-4 and filled to full hot mark after it reached temperature. Then I went from Park to 1 slowly and back several times.I took it for a ride and the 2-1 downshift problem started.I read where this may be a air in the system problem.Im going to try and go thru the gears again slowly 10 or 12 times and see if this helps?

I'm far from an expert, but air would do it. I had a problem once with wife's car where it would race in idle after a turn, then slam into gear after, and ended up being a crack in a tube that would suck air in a turn, then when you leveled out & it got fluid it would slam.
Good luck & post back. |
