Default Air Bag Light

So I have a questions, that hopefully will assist in narrowing down my problem.

A few months ago the Air Bag light came on in my 01 Limited Edition. (and it is intermittent, as it will come on for a while, sometimes go out after a few min/days; and sometimes stay on for weeks)

The dealer said that the Air bag on the passenger side was bad, and needs to be replaced. However just the other day, my wife and I were driving down the road and she was in the passenger side, and started bouncing in the seat to the music.

We it just so happened that sometimes when she would bounce in a particular spot, the light would go off, and then come back on when she moved again.

It just seems that there is a problem in the seat, and not an $850 air bag. Has anyone had this issue, and if so what would be a suggestion on looking for. I was going to unbolt the seat and pull it out, but have no idea what to look for.

Any help would be appreciated.

Tried the horn thing in the past, doesnt work, however seems this is a common problem. Thinking about pulling the damn light bulb becuase it isnt looking promising for a fix...

What about the last poster that said: I reseated electrical connectors under the passenger seat and the problem went away.

Can't hurt to give that a try.

I apologize, did not see that.... I will give that a shot.

Can I get to that from the back, or will I have to remove the seat?

Sorry, haven't done any of that myself, just giving suggestions. Try it from the back/front and if you can't get to the connections then the seat must come out.
