What's the best MPG can the PT Cruiser get?

Nevermind the ground clearance, 9000lbs is WAY over what the PT should be supporting. I read that as 900 before and didn't think anything of it. I'm surprised that that PT hasn't folded in on itself. Do you have any pictures of that PT outfitted as it is? Has anything been upgraded on it as far as suspension, braking, etc?

well there are a lot of things i did. New GT Engine, took turbo out, 5spd Manual, 15 Gallon tank, 3 gallon reserve tank, new suspension, Brakes, re-enforced the frame.

MUST have caved in....

That's the first time I ever heard of a lowered suspension to get off the road with.....What do you have in the bong beside WEED ? It's got to be some BAD SH**...............

not technically lowered suspension, just lowers the friction from going over bumbs for a more smooth ride. suspension was raised a lil bit, but all the springs do is lower the friction of the bumbs, potholes or anything like that. also i may be wrong on those springs. not exactly sure on those, just going by what the mechanic told me when the cruiser was in the shop so i might have mis-understood what he said. ill double check with him on monday an get back to all of you

Umm....the Eibach kit LOWERS the car just like your first post said.

Between this supposedly modified car supporting 9000 lbs and the 36mpg automatic PT Cruiser, I'm really finding it hard to believe much of anything you're posting on this forum.

well then i guess im wrong about that. might have mis-understood my mechanic, im going to get everyything cleared up tomorrow. and no they are not stock tires. Struts, shocks, rotters, brakes were all changed. to what ill let you know tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on when i get a chance to call him.

26 in the city with auto. Just slip into neutral at all lights and stops.

ok, redid some calculating on my gas mileage, figured out that its not 30 city and 36 highway, its more closer to 25 city and 32 highway.
