you would nearly need every pt had this fault with the dash until would become a recall sadly its just how it go,s
ive not seen any pt,s in the uk with a cracked dash it must be all to hot sun you get in the states is that why you have the dash matt cover things (in uk its normally raining most of the time lol)

I'm not here to argue or listen to other peoples wise cracks or smart comments. I just want people to call Chrysler Corporation because the only way to fix the dash is having it called in. If your ok with the dash looking horrible then don't reply and move on. Chrysler told me they have never seen the PT's dashboards all crack up and I was the only one. I walk around to the new car dealership and the gentlement that is trying to sale me a car tells me his daughters dash was cracked he stated I should call Chrysler Corporation and if we can get people to start calling with the same complains they will have to recall it.

You know what happens with plastic? It dries out and shrinks if not properly cared for. That is what happened with your dash, that's what happened with mine and what happened with every other dash that's cracked (the few that did anyway). Go find one a junked car and put the dash from it in your car. Out of the hundreds of thousands of PT Cruisers out there, there's a small fraction of those owners who bother to join forums. Take that fraction of owners and break that down into the number of members on this forum. Take THAT number and figure out how many have a cracked dash. Chrysler isn't going to issue a recall or even a TSB for less than a dozen owners. You're pissing in the wind.
