2006 PT GT Problems

Where to start........
I brought my PT GT in for warranty repairs under the extended warranty which I bought.
These are the problems.....
1.The windshield wipers do not park when turned off and the high speed doesnt work.
2.When I go over a bumb... there is a clunck in the front end.
3.The hatch release no longer works....I have to use the key to open the hatch....
4. Sometimes it seems that the turbo is sleeping.......

Now for the results from the dealer......


The wipers required a new control module to fix the problem.

The front end needs new parts....control arms etc.

The hatch release has to be replaced......some sort of complete unit that is hard to get.


And finally......they had to replace the whole turbo because the pop off valve or whatever its called sometimes sticks open not allowing any boost.


I am so thankful I bought the extended warranty! The car has about 55 thousand miles on it.


Finally.....I STILL cant believe Chrysler did not include a boost gauge with the turbo!

I have been encouraging people to get the extended Chrysler warranty especially for the PT.

I bought the car new at the end of 06. I change the oil and filter every 3000 miles and use the best synthetic oil.
I drive mostly on the freeway but I do drive fast.......75 to 85 miles an hour when I can!

Finally got the car back from the dealer. They had to replace the turbo because of the problem I mentioned in an earlier post and man.......what a difference.
