That doesn't change anything. Turn the rotors if you can, replace the pads. Calipers don't often need to be changed.

I found a 2002 cruiser at the junkyard that had a passenger arm rest, the seat was torn up. I got the armrest, the bracket to attach it and the plastic piece to cover the hinge for $10 bucks which I thought that was a sweet deal. I had to do some modifications and now I have a matching armrest on my 2001 LE

Had to change the tie rods 4 times, Watts Link 3 times, brakes 3 times, dashboard lights once, gas tank once, (had a nasty hole) had to replace the headlight housings, but im working around that with retro-fitted projectors that im working on myself, airbag sensor, and finally the ball joints 8 times since i bought my 2nd PT 1yr 4 months ago.

a lot of things gone wrong with it since then but now it seems to run fine. thank god.

but anything else anyone just bring it up. I love to here about other peoples Cruisers since it is a great car that can fit into tight spaces lol.

oh yea, and driving PT's from 07 to present, it seems like the visibility has gone down, like you cant see as well as you can with the 01. that might be me, but thats what i've seen.
I live in Northern Virginia: 2nd or third worst traffic congestion in the country. I bought a black used 2001 limited Edition with 50,000 + miles about three years ago, has alloy wheels, leather, sunroof. I could have done without the roof rack but scroungers can't be choosers. I needed something quick to replace my 1971 VW bus which burned up. Oh well, at least I've got heat and A/C now. I don't have nearly the cargo space, of course but I like it a lot all the same; pretty good stock sound system but I have some Boston Acoustic speakers I'd like to put in the doors; I just don't know what the stock speaker 's dimensions are. I've had a few issues: the clock spring went bad last year so I had no horn and my shop had to wait for a Chrysler backorder of quite a few of them to come in; the ignition cylinder had to be replaced, and I've been told the motor mounts are cracking. Oh, yeah, the radio/CD/cassette readout recently started getting flaky. Start the car, no readout, start it the next time it's back on. Otherwise a fun and versatile little machine with pretty good zip for no turbo; too bad the gas mileage sucks; any hints on making it better?

Welcome Ornald.
Better to start your own thread -
On this page, scroll up, click on general PT Cruiser discussions, then on that page, on upper left, click on "New thread" and introduce yourself.

My best tip for gas mileage - check tires regularly, and put 2-3 PSI above the door sticker amount.
