Did your cam sensor have a part that extended into the engine or was it just pretty much flat?
It turns out that the sensor on my car is the flat one which happens to be the less expensive one. I went to NAPA and when they looked it up on the computer there was a picture of each sensor. So I guess my cruiser is a US model. It had DRLs and bilingual instrumentation (French/English). Curious.......

That's a possibility, as I said, there's no DRL's in the U.S. but I believe Canadian cars require them. But why you were charged the overseas price for the Camshaft sensor in another story. I can't believe there's a difference in the sensor itself, just the price they charge the Canadians vs the U.S.

Well, it WAS the dealer who was charging me. Maybe that is the US dealer price. At least I didn't get charged for the labor as it was part of the engine install.

What do you have for primary numbers on your speedometer? Km's or miles?

DRL's are indeed required in Canada...

I believe the speedo primary numbers are miles, with the km underneath. But car is still in the shop, so I can't go out and look.

If it IS a US car, I wonder why it has DLRs? Is it because it is limited edition?

Bought in the US, brought to Canada for a spell and brought back to the US again? Or maybe a previous owner wanted the DRLs. Anything is possible.
