Just bought a second PT

I just used the cash for clunkers (sold a 2001 Tuarus Wagon) & got a 2009 PT in Ocean Blue....we walked out of the dealer in less than 2 hours complete & paid $10,700 after the $9,000 in rebates....the next day the US gov cancelled or limited the program...WOW....just in the nick of time!
It is basic with Automatic , CD Series radio, Nitro filled tires, runs great & light on the $$

It is missing the cargo shelf ....are they all the same shelf from the early days??? I am looking for one

No way is a base PT stickered at $19,000. I paid that for my '05 limited, turbo, sunroof, & 4-wheel ABS.
You should've gotten the dealer to throw in the trunk shelf.

I agree with QSD also they just announced that they extended the Cash 4 Clunkers deal with $2 billion approved by the house.

Yeah I'd have to agree... it was as recently as a month ago that I was seeing base PT's advertised in the $9,800 range around Savannah and Hilton Head.

I just heard on FOX that the House passed an extension of the program....but, the Senate has yet to discuss & vote on it.

The Senate will vote on it Monday or Tuesday. They should have just given money to the people to pay for a new/different car, instead of promoting this program, the dealers must now request the money from the government, and any one who has dealt with the government knows how fast they pay out.

Your price is on par with what they say on the Chrysler website but I think I would've tried to haggle a little more, especially with them being desperate for sales. That's a nice colour you picked though. That's what I would've gone with too.

Well ....it looks like Chrysler axed their $4500.00 rebate....no longer on their website ....they will continue with the cash for clunkers ....til the US GOV says it is done....
