Pt vs. Calibre?????

Well I drove by the local Dodge lot....they have a tonne of Calibres on the lot. I still can't believe that this bucket of plastic and bolts replaced the Pt.Why didn't they just keep the Pt good quality and nicely finished like when they 1st came out:? I wouldn't trade my new Coleman cooler for a Calibre. I wouldn't trade my 03 GT for a 2010 Calibre either...seriously.

Ya......a little futuristic, for my taste. The PTC is a heck of a lot more aesthetically pleasing, if you ask me!

Yes. The PT is still being made, the Neon isn't.

I agree. I went to the dealership planning on purchasing a Caliber, but once I test drove it, I felt differently.
Terrible blind spots, bumpy ride, crap steering, it just feels cheap.

Then...

I sat in the PTC and it made me smile. LOVE IT!

Well first of all you have to remember Chrysler is in financial trouble and it is a business after all. I am as sad as you, but the PT is a retro car and it took a while to find it's niche among the car buying public. It is a known fact that it is a retro car and not every one has the same zealous that you and I have over this car. Face it the "buying public" either loves or hates this car, a lot of people want a newer, sleeker looking car and are willing to get that car.

Not many new "Sleeker" cars out there. Most I've seen are more like Tonka Toys. Boxie, bulbous looking things.

Not sure what the deal is then with the HHR... thing looks like a box on wheels.

PT looks much more sleek even with the 10 year old design.

To be fair, you have to compare model line to model line... Exp.. Pt gt vs csrt4 or r/t.

They are very comparable. I have seen many "base" pt's and thought uhh!!

But in my case i bought the car for the motor, value, low upkeep cost, mtx, etc. The looks just grew on me
