Default Can you change the oil on a PT without jacking the car up?

Can you change the oil on a PT Cruiser without jacking the car up? thanks!

Is that a trick question? How thin are you? Can you slide underneath the car and still breath, if so, the answer is yes.

I guess doing it that way you don't have to worry about the PT falling off the jack.

I do my oil change with out a jack.My street is on an angle but the sidewalk is level.So i put the 2 passenger tires on the curb and i am able to slide under the car no problem...and my pt is lowered.So it can be done if you have the right conditions i guess

Get a set of ramps, Wal-Mart etc. they will lift the front enough to be able to work under it.

I had a set of steel ramps - angle was too steep - Rhino ramps are great - plastic and only about $20.

Rhino ramps are what I have.

I back up my car on my steel ramps, then jack up the front and set it on Rhino's, tons of room for me on my creeper, and I'm a big fat guy!!!

I don't have any ramps but my car is lowered and I'm fat so I need to jack the car up to get under it. Even when it wasn't lowered, I couldn't fit under it.

Get the neighbors kid to help you out.....they can fit.

My PT is lowered also, so I use the ramps I bought from Walmart. Those work perfectly fine.
