Default My new (to me) GT!

Well after about a month of searching for a GT 5spd my search is finally over. I had to travel from Gettysburg Pa. to Columbus Ohio to find one but I'm very pleased with my choice. It's an 03 with 70k on the clock and it's as clean as a whistle inside and out. I paid $6k for it which I think was a great buy and way below book value...

Only thing that's wrong with it is that the multi-disc doesn't work and I'm really not sure what's wrong with it. It won't accept any disc's nor will it eject any since it sounds like there's one stuck in it. Anyone know of any fixes??

The only upgrades that are planned at the moment is possibly the addition of a rear GT spoiler since I think that it looks kinda plain without.

On a side note: Since I had to drive 680miles round trip for this thing I told the dealer that I wanted it looked over so that I wouldn't have any issues on the trip back. So they changed the oil and rotated the tires for me. Well long story short we made it about two thirds of the way home and the front end started knocking real bad so we pulled into a rest area on the Pa turnpike and called AAA to come an take it the rest of the way home. At the time it I was thinking that the left side axle was going out, but after further inspection the next morning I found the the front wheel was dangerously loose. Enough so that I could more the wheel around about a good 1/2". Upon further inspection I found that the other four wheels where loose as well. Luckily I decided to have in towed home when I did and not to limp it back since we where traveling at speeds around 80mph. I could have been easily killed. Needless to say I called and told the dealer just what was on my mind in hopes that next time they do any such work to properly torque the wheels before they send ANY car down the road whether it be 340 miles or 1. So let this be a lesson to all to have you wheels torqued even if you think that they don't need it!

Here's a quick pic of the new whip!

Good judgement there!! Congratulations and to most of us (now don't get offended), it looks a little plain..the mod bug that's being passed around here will definitely creep up on you after you put on the spoiler!

Back to your point, I recently bought a torque wrench to keep in the back for whenever any wheel trouble pops up.

Well don't expect a bunch of silly add-on's from me. I like stock look but I would like to add the spoiler...

Nice. The person that rotated the tires may have just finger tightened the lugs. On the CD player, try disconnecting the power to it for a few - might reset and release, if a CD is in it.

Under book value - which book - and maybe retail price?

My 2003 GT with 12k miles private party book is under my asking price, actually...

Congrats, though, on finding the car you wanted! I think it looks weird without a spoiler :P

Excellent choice, and I love those wheels...except they are chrome...lol...and watch out for that mod monkey, once he's bitten you, there's little hope of recovery...
