I had occasion to rent one in Phoenix, Arizona in 03 and drove it to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas before returning it to Phoenix. Loved it....really a good driver. When my minivan began to wear out last year, I found an 07 PT which had been a rent-a-car and only had 16,000 miles on it. It was in perfect shape and the price was right. I had to do it and I've now had it for over a year and love it. Just put a couple of loud horns on it and am going to do new plugs and wires some time soon. It's my little red Hot Rod!

I always liked the looks, but I was most impressed with the space inside and the upright seating position. I'm over six foot and this is one of the few small cars with a sunroof where my hair doesn't brush the headliner. It seems that you sit up and can see lots of the road even though you are in a small car. The fold down rear and front passenger seat is handy when you want to get a few 2x4s home.
The fact that I could get it with a stick shift clinched it for me.

I was looking for a fun, quick, affordable car. I was thinking srt4 but all the ones I found were beat to crap, was thinking a wrx, but couldn't find one in my price range.

We had my lebaron convertible and a vw new beetle convertible which worked out fine when it was just us and the dog, but when my partners son moved in with us we needed a more comfy car for all 3 of us going somewhere.

Went to Carmax to look arround and saw the pt cruiser gt sitting there. I'll admit that I really always thought they were fugly, but they were starting to grow on me. We took it out for a drive and I was suprised when it spun out with the traction controll on.

We went in and talked price and I walked out of there with a nice shiny pt gt. It is an 03 and only had 39k miles when I bought it a year and a half ago.

I just traded in a 1985 Mazda RX-7 that I bought new and spoiled for 24 years. I was not interested in new car prices so I watched auto trader for several months and finally narrowed it down to 3 cars and settled on a 2006 inferno red Limited with a little over 26,000 miles on it. It was a fleet rental and was by far the nicest of the 3 I looked at on the insided and out. Great paint, very clean interior and eveything works! I have some back problems and getting into and out of the RX-7 was a challenge and the rides were getting shorter and shorter (it had 72,000 miles).

I really liked the PTC's when they first came out and really avoided looking at them closely as I was sure I would end up getting one. I held off as long as I could but the retro look with current technology finally sucked me in! I have had it for a month and joined a club and entered it in 1 show. (It rained and many did not show so I ended up with a plaque on the first time out!) If this car can go 24 years I will be very happy!

I bought a NA for my daughter and really liked it. Momma wanted a convertible (our g-daughter calls the PT our midlife crisis), so we bought the PT Vert Turbo. Turns out Momma couldn't get the g-kids in and out, and I was *forced* to drive the darn thing back and forth to work

I love putting down the top on the way home. I love the tightness of the interior and the body and the tuned suspension. Just today I got caught at a red light with a merging lane just 30 feet ahead. I simply put about 35% pedal into my little turbo and easily beat the other car to the spot. Turbo kicked in quickly with a nice whine -- too much fun, and Momma even liked the feel.

It's one cool car. Liked the looks of them since they first came out. Retirement gave me the excuse to finally pick up a used one, in excellent condition. I really like the carrying capacity. It's almost as much as our minivan!

I remember when the PT first came out i liked it allot but buying one at that time was not a option. I got mine July 1st 2009 it is a dark blue Base model 5 speed. The millage was 74k and the carfax report checked out and i figured a 5 speed would get better millage anyway and it had been taken care of so i went with it. I got a good price on it the dealer was having a hard time to find someone who wanted a stick shift. I like the retro look and it had more room that i thought it would. You better like it for the looks and ride it is a bit slow. The non turbo 5 speed is slow the automatic version is even slower. A proper tune up helped allot. I never owned a Chrysler product before the PT but my best friend of 20 years had good luck with a Dodge Dakota and a Chrysler Town & Country mini van so i was willing to give Chrysler a try. But when these PTs first came out i had a new 2001 Nissan Sentra with a 1.8L and a automatic transmission i use to beat the hell out of them taking off from a red light they could not keep up. But maybe in a few years i hope to find me a turbo PT.

Looks and interior room naturally (I'm 6'2" and so many cars headroom is non-existent).

But I also like all the little storage places: pockets inside every door, drivers seat back, two-level center console, small cubby under vent controls, very large glove box, small compartment for tools, etc. inside wheel well, and cargo storage compartment versatility with shelf removed, seats folded or removed.

Don't use all these possibilities, but it's nice to know they're there if you need them.
