PT Cruiser Platinum Edition

Hello. I am new to this forum.

I have a 2004 "Platinum Edition" PT Cruiser, and I've never noticed another one like it on the road. I has a two-tone leather interior, heated seats, satellite radio, moon roof, and a 2.4L turbo engine. Also has a Platinum badge on it. The car originally came with chrome wheels, which I had to replace because they leaked air. Anyone else have one of these?

Stoke has a graphite metallic '04.

They were only out one year, and this platinum edition also applied to the Chrysler Sebring, I think. They were available in black and silver. Mine still has the chrome wheels (never had any air leakage issues) and the previous owner added chrome door handle scratch guards, a chrome billet antenna and I added the rear step pad.

Yeah, I'm getting to this thread very late. The platinums came in Black, Silver and Graphite Metallic....

In 2004, Chrysler offered a six-model Platinum Series to commemorate twenty years of great success in the minivan market. However, the special package was not limited to the Town & Country. It was also offered on the Sebring coupe, Sebring convertible, Sebring sedan, 300M, and the PT Cruiser.

All models were offered in three color choices: Graphite Metallic, Bright Silver Metallic and Brilliant Black Crystal. In addition to the Platinum Series badges, each model also receives exclusive upgrades like chrome/Platinum-clad wheels and silver bezels.

The PT Cruiser Platinum comes with a six-disc CD changer, Sirius satellite radio, chrome side moldings, a special leather and chrome accented steering wheel, a satin silver shifter and two-tone leather seating. All of the Limited features are also here: fog lamps, keyless entry, full power accessories, a power driver's seat, cruise control, tinted windows, and a power moon roof.

The PT Limited Platinum is powered by the new 2.4 liter DOHC turbocharged inline four, which provides 180 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque. A four-speed automatic transmission is standard on this model.

Mine has a power drivers seat - it's worthless. I'm 5'6" and it stays all the way down; can't imagine how short someone would have to be to use it at all. It needs to go down about another 2".
