Default Hello from the UK.

Hello all, I'm new to this forum as i've been active on a volkswagen air cooled forum for a few years and now want a PT big time. I drive a crap french company car (a peugeot 307) and want to change to allowance so i can buy my first PT. It will be black with white wall's, moon discs, pinestriping, bullet rear lights, zoom exhaust..i'd love a V8 mopar as well, but with the UK fuel prices thats a no no....i love hot rods..and everything about the hot rod scene..more than the vw scene..

Welcome from Arizona, USA where we really don't have winter, but we make up for it by having nine months of summer. Air conditioning here is as useful in April through October as a heater is in Alaska the other months. We can't get diesels in out PTs here, which is a crime I think. As you can see from my signature file, I appreciate the utility and economy of a good diesel.

Best of luck on finding a good PT. I'd suggest one with a manual transmission, of course. The European and UK versions of the PTs also had a few options unavailable here, such as rear fog lights. (Bear in mind that the last time we had fog here, the airport closed, but I did live in San Francisco for a time.)

If you happen upon an orphan crd engine with manual transmission skulking about, kindly stick a few stamps on it and send it my way.

Welcome.
For UK specific items, this may be the place for you:
UK Cruisers Club web site dedicated to the Chrysler PT Cruiser
They'll nag you to pay up, but there is a free section, and I've been on there for years without feeding their coffers...
