I have more trouble with LEAVES if I leave car parked in the shade - shop vac takes care of them...

We were supposed to get a good dump yesterday, but it missed us. Southern part of the province got 5 or 10 cm I think

Snow would be bad enough, but to have a good dump on you must be terrible

Hi. I just got a PT on Nov 30th ('01 5 spd. yay!). PTs work in cold? That's good to know. I'm really looking forward to scooping white stuff from under the wiper blades for the next 6 mos. Snow in the fresh air intake is the least of my worries. Keeping it between the ditches and it not leaving me stranded for hours in the cold -hours from home- are.

As mentioned, just scoop the snow away with your hand if its sloppy, the rest will melt away once the engine gets warm and you get going. If its fluffy, I usually tap it or brush it out with a snow brush (usually it falls through, but I've never had any problems resulting from snow falling through -in any of my cars). If it happens to be 3" thick ice (remember ice storm '98 anyone?) and you hate your car, use a framing hammer or large prybar to break it. If you love your car, leave it in the driveway and ride with someone who hates their car.

I'm chilly just talking about this. Damn you Canadian winters!! I need to live in a warmer climate.

It might grow on me like that "dog so ugly it's cute". If it behaves and doesn't pee on the driveway, maybe I'll give it some mod-treats!!

Snow's gone, now, but we did make mention on the weather channel

As for driving in the cold wet stuff, I didn't have any handling problems, which is great since at least 40 people over the last two days did (not in PTs, though). We're not equipped for the stuff, 12 flakes shut down this town, seriously, so with the most snow I've seen on about 30 years, here (not elsewhere) at 6 inches officially in my yard, we did okay Around town the average was 3-6 inches, which I know the Canadians will scoff at, but we do much better with handling dust storms than snowstorms, so I was impressed.

And really, it's not the snow, it's the black ice that's the problem, usually, you know.

Ha! Don't ever have to worry about that down here! Well...at least I don't think so. Just heard the weather report. They are talking about it snowing down here in Corpus?! *stunned*
