I wouldn't count on them lasting 90K miles, but they've already outlasted the original Good-for-a-Years, and I like the feel much better.

Welcome to the site also... in Michigan the had 61,s907 deer car crashes lat year at a cost of 103 million dollars. Here it also has to be tagged before you can throw it in the back and go off with it or it's a large fine.

Here are the Top 10 states for vehicle-deer collisions and the likelihood of a vehicle colliding with a deer in the next 12 months, according to State Farm:

1. West Virginia: 1 in 39
2. Michigan: 1 in 78
3. Pennsylvania: 1 in 94
4. Iowa: 1 in 104
5. Montana: 1 in 104
6. Arkansas: 1 in 106
7. South Dakota: 1 in 107
8. Wisconsin: 1 in 116
9. North Dakota: 1 in 136
10. Virginia: 1 in 137

A few years back, Pennsylvania was #1.
the states with the highest number of accidents involving deer between July 1, 2005 and June 30, 2006 were:

1. Pennsylvania
2. Michigan
3. Illinois
4. Ohio
5. Georgia
6. Virginia
7. Minnesota
8. Texas
9. Indiana
10. South Carolina

the lowest state? Hawaii

A couple of the hooved rats (thanks, quicksilverdon!) almost got me night before last, as I was leaving work --- and my workplace is part of Dulles International Airport, just outside Washington DC. Crazy, but for a very busy airport, we're constantly being told to watch out for deer and bears in the airport roadways, plus coyotes sleeping UNDER cars in the parking lots.... I thought this was the suburbs, fer cryin' out loud!

I've had the PT for a week now and am pleased so far. No issues other than a clunk in the back end and the dealer is handling that one (Watts linkage housing). The PT is in practically showroom condition on the inside, engine looks very clean and the exterior is also darn near perfect. I am going to be needing tires and am planning to get new plugs and wires, the brakes done and the transmission serviced as well. Any other issues I need to be aware of?

John
You can end up getting allot of advice on what tires to buy for allot of different reasons. But trust me get the best set of DUNLOP tires you can afford. There are other good tires out there i have tried them all but DUNLOP will disappoint you the least.

Ever hear the song 'I came upon a Roadkill Deer'? "We'll all enjoy a Christmas feast, of bumper mistletoe" lol.

If gas would go down, I'd want to get a pickup with a snowplow - I figure I could get two a day! Maybe fling them 40 feet or more!
I was considering getting decals for my driver's door - deer, squirrels, skunk, rabbit - kinda like WWII submarines with ships sunk....
