Re: Work I Did Last 3 weeks
Just as a word of caution: I ordered that exact grille off of Ebay, from the exact same seller-- horrible product. I may have wound up with a bad egg, but the fitment was WAY, WAY off. The top uses two brackets that bolt into two of the original mounting points of the OEM grille, however, the bottom of the upper grille has two brackets that are welded in place and are supposed to fit over two other holes in which you use the original screws to secure it. On mine, the brackets on the bottom were extremely out of place. I had pictures that I had to take to send to the seller to explain the problem, but I couldn't believe someone would produce something as bad as that. They obviously don't test fit what they produce.
As a side note, the grille did look very nice, as I was able to secure the top of it. I honestly wish I could have made the bottom brackets work, but I don't have the equipment to weld that type of metal. Also, if you have a lighter colored PT (white, bright silver, etc.) be prepared to paint the areas behind the grille, as they will show through. The areas on top and bottom of the billet spears (?) ARE black, and the fronts have a highly polished finish.
