Tire Inflation Warning light

Good Morning,
I put some moons on our PTiki ...& had the (!) light come on under the drive light..then found out the valve stems where too short to put a gauge on..
bought some extenders ..& the inflation was fine..Any ideas?..

Did you whack one of the stems when you put on the hubcaps? Sounds like a sensor went. They are over $100 each, I understand....

I don't have them.
My Brother-in-law was here with a rental (GM) - he got the alarm - went to a gas station - his valve was broken - the tire has to be taken off the rim to remove the sensor since it is the tire valve also - price was over $100...

In your case, first step it to determine which tire - or does it tell you?
Look and see if it's covered under warranty.

I put a set of WMart studded snows on some aftermarket wheels without sensors and just drive it. Takes about 25 miles for the chime & light to come on. After a few moments the light stays on but chime is quiet. Been driving that way for a couple of weeks and so far so good... I just ignore the idiot light.
I've been driving for several decades and I'm cheap - so I always keep a check on tire pressure for maximum mileage - don't need a dumb idiot light!
