Default Winter Driving in a PT

For all of you wondering how good a PT is in winter conditions check this picture. I was just looking at some of the highway web cams in ND and here's what I see on a Fargo camera!!!! Just about all of ND, SD is closed due to a major snow storm.

But on this camera only one car is on the road and what is it????

(Probably a Winnipegger down for the Boxing Day sales and wondering where everyone is!!!!!)

I drive all year round with the summer tires that came with it. I don't do as much driving in the winter as I used to otherwise I'd have 4 studded tires. The only way to go!!

we got a pretty bad winter blizzard here in NYC a week ago and I drove the Cruiser in it about two days later and it was ok. Roads sucked but I never got stuck, lol had to dig my Cruiser out from in front of my house.

How does that low front end deal with deep snow? I dont live in the snow belt anymore, but used to, and I would think that the front end would jam up in deep snow pretty quickly.

Hey PurplePTGirl if its a fresh soft snow like what we just got it all I had to do was go slow and it just pushed it out of the way. But lol once its gets hard or if its a heavy snow your not going anywhere.

Not much snow, ever, here, but I was impressed by how it handled the ice.

The ND camera shot made me cold.

Hey their Guys, and Gals,

Oh dang man, that made me soooo cold I went and put my winter snow suit on, grabbed my ol hat with the fuzzy ear flaps, and had to make me a hot cup of cocoa, and I am all the way out in sunny So Cal! Now I look like a cross between an Ice Road Trucker, and Cousin Eddie from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!

Thank you for those great Pic's guys, and thank you for sharing them!

All of you who have to drive in that white stuff out there, please, please, try n keep the clean side up, and the dirty side down!

Go easy, and I will catch yall later.

The lower air dam (plastic) gets the abuse - it cracks if you hit packed snow - my daughter tore her's ('03 GT) and I taped it up until a warm day comes and I can epoxy it back.

The front bottom is all plastic and "gives", but the airdam (a little "lip") sticks down about an inch at a right angle and can be torn off at the seam.
