alarm and power lock issues

Good evening. I have a couple quick questions for you. I'll post them in separate threads.

The car is a 2001 PT. High mileage but well cared for and 100% stock with no mods at all.

The car has the factory power door locks installed.

When I use the key to unlock the door starting at the passenger door or tailgage, the alarm goes off. When I use the same key in the drivers door, the alarm stops.

Is this normal?

When I use the same keyto unlock from the drivers door, no problem and no alarm.

If not, any suggestions how to fix the problem without investing a ton of money?
