I just bought an 01 PT Cruiser Limited from my in-laws. They had it lowered, installed a billet grill and added a 8 ball shifter knob (it's a manual trans). The stock wheels are rusting and the chrome is peeling so I ordered a set of Wheel Vintiques, had them painted red and installed the caps. Next plan is to paint the bumpers and flat black the paint.

Looks great!
Have you considered putting chrome bumper caps on instead of painting the bumpers? It might look good with the chrome hubcaps, and a red pinstripe at the beltline.

I'm thinking about installing trim rings because it is a lot of red. Or I might have a silver pin strip run around the edge of the wheels.

Hey their CaseysPT,
Welcome to the Forum, and that is a way tight looking PT you got their. ![]() I agree that a trim ring would finish off the wheels and tone down the red a bit to give a better balance. Anyways, again welcome, go easy, and I hope to see you around. Candyman

Yes, the chrome rings around the rims, and possibly takin the headlights apart and painting the surrounds red, as well as finishing the bumpers will really make the car come to life.

The red is to much IMHO. Chrome rims would dampen it out some, and then it would look tight.
