Just bought 2005 Dream Cruiser

New to the boards I just bought a 2005 Dream Cruiser series 4 and was trying to find out what the production number was the last 5 digits on my vin number are 00241 is my number 241?

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser - Dream Cruiser Series 4

Awash in Deep Lava Red paint, a maroon cloth convertible top and powered by a 220-horsepower high-output turbocharged engine, the latest version of the Chrysler PT Cruiser was unveiled Aug 17, 2004 on Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak. The new 2005 Chrysler PT Dream Cruiser Series 4 is a limited production version of the Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible.

Announced in conjunction with Detroit's famed Woodward Dream Cruise, the Chrysler PT Dream Cruiser Series 4 began production August 2004. For North American markets, each vehicle has a reserved, sequenced Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), as well as a special owner's manual holder in Light Pearl Beige, embossed with the Dream Cruiser Series 4 shield logo. For international markets, the vehicle is called "Chrysler PT Street Cruiser Series 4."

The only pictures are from the ad. I have to dig through 4" of snow to get new pictures.I got lucky only 28,000 miles still has the new car smell (:-)

I found out some interesting info for those few of us that have a ‘05 Dream Cruiser Convertible, I contacted DaimlerChrysler to get info on the “Reserved Dream Cruiser Vehicle ID#” as noted on the window sticker and on other reviews & publications I have seen, That stated there were only 1700 built. As compared to previous years that stated there were 7500 DCs built in ’03 & ‘04

The 2005 Dream Cruiser did not come equipped with a production dash
plate. The sequencing is held in the Vehicle Identification Number
(VIN). The VIN sequence for the 2005 Dream Cruiser is 5T700001 through
5T701549.


So, this makes the DC4 more rare than any other DC, as only 1548 were made, my DC is number 1109 of 1548, It would be interesting to know some other members sequence numbers, I guess 0001 would be considered the most valuable, if it was sold to the public!

Any other DC4 owners on here, post your sequence number, it is the last 8 digits of your VIN /serial number, for those of you that do not know."

HI I just bought Dream 2 #662 GT-Turbo(2weeks ago) I also have a PT Touring anyway ..how do I find out how many of mine were made? i know they said 7500 but I heard it never reached that # in demand? Any help..Its awesome with only 42000 miles and origional. Thanks MJB
