Default Keys.

Hey all! Curious as to how eager locksmiths are to cut a key from a blank that they are not selling, I.E. one purchased from eBay, or another online source. Does'nt seem too likely that they would be inclined to doing so, losing their marlup on the key and all! Thanks in advance! Dale

Welcome.
BTW, I was in the Marines and respect Seabees.

Take the key to any hardware store or Walmart - the just plug it in a machine.

They're still gonna charge you a couple bucks. I've never had a problem taking a blank and having it cut somewhere other than where I bought it.

Welcome to the forum from this old seadog (20 year Navy)

We all loved Marines too. They made great dance partners when we'd been underway for several months.

I never had sea duty - but if I had, and you asked me to dance, you'd be shark food...
