Default Rear Child Locks

Hi, I am new to the forum and have just bought my first PT. I am having problems with rear doors opening from inside. I have tried moving the child locks switch downwards but it hardly seems to move and makes no difference. Doors open fine from outside - seems wierd as it is the same on both rear doors. Any help would be most appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.
You are on the right path - lever on side of door when you open them - maybe spray some WD-40 in there?+

Thanks. I tried that and it made no difference at all. Seems strange that both rear doors are having the same problem. Is there something else I should be doing?
Thanks

Looks like you'll have to get inside the door to see what isn't working. Just tried mine and the lever moves about 1/2 inch, almost the whole length of the oval slit and locks the doors from the inside just fine. If your switches are just barely moving then somethings wrong inside. I do agree that both rear doors having the same problem is weird. Do you have the white sticker next to the lever showing you how it works?

Thanks for the quick reply. I know it seems strange being both doors but I will have a look inside this week and let you know what I find
