The original poster hasn't been back to the forum since February 2010 so don't look for an answer from him but if your right about only being out of warranty for 2 months, I think you should talk to the dealer and explain your situation.

Did you buy the car from the dealer you might be talking to? Have you been using that dealer for service? Either of those two things might be of help rather than walking into a dealer you've never dealt with before. It would be like coming here to the forum with your first post and just throwing a question out without introducing yourself.
