Default Power Locks - Front and Rear hatch

PT Cruiser 2004. My 2 front door power locks and rear hatch no longer work. The key fob & switches still unlock the rear side doors but nothing else. Took it to the local dealer, for a diagnosis, it'll cost about $1100 to fix them. Seems the door latch motors are all broken. If I had too time it, they went one after another in about a month's span.

It maybe true or maybe not, I'm a bit suspicious, they told me about the side doors but I asked about the rear hatch had to call me back. Same problem, needs a motor. Another $350. Based on some previous work, I'm suspicious of the dealer.

Anyways, is it possible to fix yourself? I'm pretty handy around cars but sure could use some advice or find a independent shop to do it? I'm in Alpharetta, Ga

Any advice?

Definitely get another opinion. Might try asking at body shops - after an accident they have to do similar work.
