Default Is this too much?

I found this '03 GT in Iowa.

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...05&aff=kbbfeed

The guy said they want $8900 for it and the KBB is around $8000. It only has 18k miles on it. What do you think?

The mileage rating is off, lucky to get 18 around town and 25 on the road. Pricing is a tad high; but mileage is really low, makes you wonder why the car wasn't driven more...

If you really want it, offer $7000.

Wow 18k that is really low miles for an 03. I would get a a carfax and see if it ever had any major accidents or repairs. As far as the price it's on the steep side, see if they come down.

Yea, that's what I was about to say. That sounds like a salvaged title to me

They said they will do $7500. Is that a good deal?

It's a GT with 18000 miles if it checks out with the car fact and your mechanic looking at if possible than I would be extremely tempted. You could no doubt find a cheaper 03 GT but not with 18k. I would most likely go for it in your shoes if all checked out.

It's a good time to buy Chrysler's because no body wants one because of the uncertainty, and as far as the PT it's not justified but it works in the buyers favor.

Carfax is clear. Two owner car, going to check it out next week. The only thing that makes me hesitate is the bad mileage and premium fuel requirement. I think it will be hard to find another 2003-2005 with this low of mileage for that price. Looking for advice here. Should I wait for a better deal on a non-turbo car or jump on this one? It's only an hour away from me too.

That does not sound right to me. My non-turbo uses regular and still gives 20 around town in Houston traffic. Who said it requires premium?

If you get 20 "around town", consider yourself lucky - best I've seen is 18 - unless you mean by "Houston traffic" you are on the freeway a good bit. All GT's require/suggest premium fuel. Turbo-Lite uses regular. I've tried several tanks of premium in my T-L with no noticeable difference - a waste.
