Default Gray Bumper vs Painted

I am working to learn as much as I can about the history of PT and the changes that have occurred over the various year models.

What model year did the bumpers start coming painted to match the body?

Thanks!

My wife already says I'm a "PT Nerd" because I know the differences in the interior and exteriors when the changes were made in '06

Except Base '03s still were gray.

It's nice to be among people who understand my desire for little tidbits of relatively useless information and can actually discuss them

Yep....but the answer I gave was in answer to his original question as he asked. I didn't figure he needed to get too overwhelmed or confused at once.

It's not hard to confuse or overwhelm me these days with all the meds I'm taking from my accident.

But I think I can still remember all that. If I forget later, the thread will still be here
