New and confused

Bought a 2005 PT Cruiser Convertible, 2.4L Turbo for my daughter that needed a new turbo.

New turbo is in, but after installation, the driver's side windows are DEAD...door window is stuck down, little wing window is stuck up. Passenger side windows work great, however convertible top also stopped working after the turbo was replaced.

I thought maybe the switch in the center panel, so got a new one and replaced it. Nothing changes, driver's side still dead, top still dead, passenger side works fine.

Tried unhooking positive batt. cable for 5-10 minutes and put it back on, it stays the same. Fuses throughout entire car are good, power to all the fuses is good.

Do I just keep trying to disconnect the positive cable for 5 to 10 minutes at a time and see if that resets something for these "Smart Windows"? Is there something else I can try? I would hate to go to the dealership (in my town, nobody here has a computer that will plug into the vehicle and I have to travel just to get to one) and give them 150 bucks to say "your computer just needed to reset" if there's a fix I can try on my own.

Her birthday is here....16th.....please, anybody help me with this???

Did you do the work or did a mechanic, if a shop did it I would bring it back because if you came in with working windows you should leave with working windows. Someone told me in a thread to take both the negative and positive off and touch them together, he said it totally drains the system. Don't know if it would do anything but it's easy enough to try.

We have a few Chrysler mechanics and some walking knowledge base guys that post so hopefully one will see your thread and may know something.
