Hey their Phil,

Try Meguiar's Medium Cut #1

Meguiar's Direct Medium Cut Cleaner -

Be sure to follow directly after with Show Car Glaze #7

Meguiar's Direct Medium Cut Cleaner -

Followed by any wax of your choice.

Depending on how deep the scratch is, it mat take more that one application to hide it. You may not be able to fully remove it without a high speed rotary buffer, but you should be able to clean it up fairly well by hand. If you need more on either application of the product here are each specific step from my guide.

Guide to Detailing: Buffing You Paint

Detailing Your Paint: Glazing

If it doesn't resolve the problem, please let me know and I will try a different approach.

Run a fingernail over the scratch and see if it catches. If it does, it's probably too deep to remove with compound. If it doesn't then you should be able to with enough time and patience.

I agree with Candyman as far as Meguiar's products go. You may have more success locating their ScratchX 2.0 or Ultimate Compound locally. Those are both in their consumer line which can be found at Walmart, Target or just about any auto parts store. They are designed to do the same job as the cut compound by hand.

A good foam applicator, some pressure and a little patience will go a long way in removing minor scratches

Good luck!
