Thumbs down Ok so maybe I am an idiot...

However, I have searched and SEARCHED for the trunk release button in the car and I can't find it. I have owned the car for about two months and still can't seem to figure out if its just me or if there really IS NOT a release button inside?! hhheeeellppppp!!

To the best of my knowledge, the trunk has to be opened from the outside unless you have installed an after market popper on it.

I believe convertibles have one in the glove compartment.
the rest of us - hit the rocker on the door to unlock all locks, then open hatch.

well here is a quick update
I have a 06 touring non turbo auto now none of that matters but

if you hit the lock button on the keyfob and go into say walmart and them come out and put your key in the trunk or hatch and unlock it and go to open it the alarm will sound or the panic button whatever it is will go off and the only way i know to shut it off is to hit the open button on the fob

CRUZIN said one time that there is no way to open it from the inside

CRUZIN said what? Must have been another "CREWZIN". Like QSD said, if you hit the button on the inside of the door, all the locks including the hatch are then unlocked.

Dad, from what your explaining it sounds like you alarmed the vehicle when you hit the fob before you went into Wal-Mart and by just using the key to open it, it doesn't shut the alarm off, so you have to hit the fob. Not sure why it does that. I just tried mine and used the fob to lock and the key to open and it worked fine, no alarm. They have changed the electrics on the 06+ models as witnessed by doing away with the interior fuse box and lumping everything together under the hood. Maybe they changed the way the alarm works.

Trunk CANNOT be opened from the inside, unless someone has installed a aftermarket "popper".

Unless you hit the little black button on the door.

But then again, that only unlocks the hatch. Does not pop it open.

Every time I use the keys to open the car the alarm goes off. So I just use the fob to unlock and lock.

Also since I dont have a rear handle I can only open the trunk by using a switch that I relocated to my gas door.

Does anyone's POP open, mine unlocks and moves about 1 inch away from the lock when I hit the door button. Does that count as "POP OPEN" ?
