Default Cruise Indicator Light?

I have been having a small problem and am wondering if it means anything or if it is a common thing on PTs.
When i first start my PT GT, the cruise light in the dash doesnt go off. It will stay on solid for a few miles, then it will go off and stay off for the rest of the trip. I have pushed every button concerning the cruise control system while it is on, and the only thing that phases it is if i push the on/off button, the light will go off while i have it pressed; as soon as i release it, it comes right back on.
i didnt notice it happening until a week ago i turned the cruise control on for the first time for about 10 seconds just to make sure it worked, and turned it back off.
Thanks for any ideas.
