Default RIP Silver Surfer

Today, the unthinkable happened,i pulled off of my street onto the main strip, and it died on me,i mean i couldnt get it to run, start or do anything, but the dash lights was going crazy like it was having convulsions.Sooo i did what i thought best for the family, instead of sinking anymore money into the money PiT,i got rid of her.Im thr owner of a mini van now.

Wow! You only bought it a few weeks ago and the only problem you mentioned were the brakes which you knew about before you even drove it off the lot. Now just because it died on you, for the first time, you went and traded it in on a mini van?

Hope the mini van is new, because it probably won't be around too long. Used cars that have problems before you even drive off the lot are an indication that you might have to spend a few bucks down the line.

Good luck. You'll need it.

Thanks yall,i hate it.I had high hopes for it when i got it.I expect to spend a lil on a used car when i get it,but what could have been 1000 or more in the first 30 days, wowser.I miss it because i loved the car.I was already up to 450 dollars in repairs in the first 3 weeks alone.

When buying a used vehicle, try to get one from a reputable dealer who does mechanical inspections on them before they sell them.

If thats not possible, or you buy privately, invest in a professional inspection. $100 or so for a full inspection could have saved you the purchase, repairs, and ultimate loss of the vehicle.

True that.I bought the pt from a mom and pop lot,the last two i bought was junk, shoulda learned my lesson the first time, but all cars have some flaws so i just said i got one bad one,but when the pt went to hell,i knew he wasnt as good as i had thought. This time i bought from a dodge dealer and is a huge lot,i could tell the difference with dealing with a big lot right away.It was a hard lesson learned, but a well learned lesson.I paid for it in the long run,but im happy now, just missed the cruiser, come to find out it was a bad computer,so at least i had the answer to what it ultimately was.
