Anyone know if a rear bumper from an 06 model would fit an 04 model? Have the chance to pick one up for $50 but don't want to spend it not compatible. ASAP help would be great!

I can't answer directly but I can tell you in 2006, Chrysler did a major face lift on the PT both front and rear. It may be only cosmetic and therefore the rear bumper would fit right on but I do know the front bumper and fascia would not be a direct fit.

Hey their Scott1160,
I believe the bumper most likely fit pretty close, though it will be off slightly in overall size. The biggest obstacles I can see based off what I heard with retrofitting the front end is: 1. As with the front end retrofit, all of the mounting points, safety sensors, and air bag crash sensors as well as the earlier crash bar, will likely be different and will require you to have to cut and relocate everything to fit up properly with the new bumper and other safety equipment accordingly for it to be road worthy per DOT for use on open highway within the US per Federal Regulations, and then as it should be a hair off in overall width, you should either wind up with a slight alignment and gap issue, or you will most likely have to cut the bumper in half, trim it accordingly to proper fitment, and then put it back together again, prep, paint, and buff to perfection. So on one hand it should likely fit close overall, but their is a lot more at stake than just a cosmetic bumper. If you decide to go with this project, and need help cutting the part in half, reconfiguring it, and then putting the two halves back together, prep, and paint, please let me know and I would be more than happy to try to help wherever I can. Go easy, and I'll catch ya later. Candyman
