I was looking at parts for my pt cruiser on some online parts stores and kept seeing a trunk release switch for my 05 pt. It is a small round, black push-button switch with a picture of car with the trunk open on it. It also appears in an exploded view of a pt showing almost all the parts. I started looking in my pt and have yet to be able to find anything like this in mine. So is there such a switch? And if so, can someone please help me find it?
the part no. is supposed to be "04760847AC". |

That part number is for a regular truck release switch that you'd see in a Charger or Avenger. PTs have never come with a liftgate release button because they don't have power liftgates.
A button would be pointless because you'd still have to get out and lift the gate open. At that point, what's the extra 2 seconds to squeeze the handle?
