I just bought a 2010 Pt Crusier classic. The headlights come on it seems when you put the car in drive. Is there any way to turn this off or is it automatic. I don't like driving with headlights on in daylight.
Thanks. |

Sorry. I just signed up. I am in Michigan and bought from a Michigan dealer.

They are not headlights. They're daytime running lights, and it's an optional safety feature of most Chryslers. Any dealer can activate or deactivate them for you.
Go back to the dealer where you bought it from and they'll most likely deactivate them for free. It doesn't even take 10 minutes.

I also have a 2010 PT and the lights come on in the day time. BUT go off if you put the car in park. And when you turn the turn signal on the head light on that side goes out. Maybe that is nice/good but I wonder. Won't that make the the light bulb to burn out faster? I have had two older PTs and have never had a burnt out bulb.
One other thing I have noticed about the 2010 is that it seems to have a shorter turning rate. Wonder if this is true and if the people at Chrysler really do listen to us. They have also added a small piece of foam rubber on the body where the frunt doors close, must be to stop some of the wind noise. Wish some one would make and sell signal mirrors. Chrysler had some on high end "Town & Countrys" a year of so ago.
