Default Hello from West Kentucky

Hello all! My wife has been in Love with the PT Cruiser since they came out back in 2000. We bought our first one in early 2002, a 2001 model with Ground effects, aftermarket grill and flames. That was one of the best cars I have ever owned. Here is a pic.

Unfortunately it was totaled in a wreck in 2007 and we replaced it with Red, NOT one of the best cars I ever owned.

When the timing belt broke we traded it as it was on a 2007 Caliber. THe Caliber is a decent car but my wife never really warmed up to it so I went on the hunt for another PT but wanted something that didn't blend in with the crowd. I found it in Paducah KY, a 2001 retired show car with only 11,300 miles on it. It began it's life in California in 2000, registered to California customs. It made it's way to Kentucky a few years ago with only 6000 miles on it. The clear on the wood is failing and I will be looking for advice on either repairing or removing it.

Welcome to the forum, you had some nice looking PT's. You may want to post a question about your clear problem in the detail forum and maybe Candyman will see it and help you out.

Marv, don't ever put flames on it. That would be gildding the lily, for sure.
