Default which pt is best

being new to this site, we like the pt, but never have owned one. which is the best YMM to buy?

That's like religion or politics.....
are you for all-out performance?
2001 & early 2002 PTs have the most options - heated, folding mirrors, etc.
Turbos came on in 2003.
Another turbo that ran on regular (not high-test) gas came out in 2004
Plastic intake on turbos - more HP and more MPG - came out in '05 (but there are early '05s with older aluminum intake)......
'06 came out with a re-design, which some like, some don't............

welcome to the forum . alot of good info on this site . i myself on my 2nd pt had a 2002 base pt with 136,000 miles was still running good just happen to come across a 2004 pt dream cruiser with high output turbo . a very good up grade only thing have to use high grade gas but worth it .have plenty of power ' the dream cruiser only had a limted number of these made good luck and welcome

Like usd said... Many options; but the best one is what you want. With any used car, check it out before purchase - a month later is not a good time to find out bad stuff.

I bought because I've liked them since they came out, and when I found just-what-I-wanted, I bought it. In all honesty though, it's not the car I thought it'd be - mpg's are fair to poor for the car, and now I'm looking at front wheel bearings at 61k.

We are on our 3rd PT since 2002. All 2001 models. Nuff said!

We have had a 2002, 2006 Limited and now the 2008 Touring all NA's. I have had 3 open back surgeries and these are without a doubt the best for riding & driving.
