Default Transmission Dip Stick. Help.

I was replacing the brass ends of my transmission lines. I removed the housing for the dipstick and ended up dropping a nut in there. Is the easiest way to get this out to remove the transmission pan? What's is going to happen if I run it with that in there(out of curiosity).
Stupid I know, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You could try putting a telescoping magnet in there - unless, of course, the nut was brass...

I took the pan off(cause I needed to change my fluid anyway) and it was right there. Yeah, it was brass ... Kind of a million to one shot that it got in there, but no harm done. I was hoping by posting "what will happen if I leave it in" that I'd get at least one reply from someone freaking out thinking I was a n00b. Oh well ... I guess people being too friendly isn't a bad thing.
