Unhappy "STUCK"

Please help..I have an 02 pt cruiser that had intermitent stalling then went dead at an intersection. Had it towed/ ran the diagnostic scan code:" p0340 cam shaft position sensor circuit" came i replaced the start..checked the spark plugs with a tester they were pulsing..replaced the battery...heard the fuel pump engage..checked the fuel check valve sprayed gas out so i checked the air filter...took it off...i jacked up the car and looked at the crankshaft sensor underneath and it was dirty so i cleaned it..still no start....checked the pins on the connection harness that goes into the cmp sensor with an ohmmeter and they registered they were working..i checked the condition of the harness..looked ok...any ideas ...appreciate the help..Brian

Check the ground wires and clean them. Also many have reported problems with aftermarket sensors, so use factory if you didnt.
