Airbag Light

Hi all,
I have 2007 pt base model, and i have a question. The airbag light on the instrument panel will come on once in a while after i start the car, and then it will stay on until i turn off the car. And then it will not come on again for a few months. Why is this happening? Please let me know!

the system runs a diag test when you start up,
if somehting fails the test it sets the light on,
as well as testing its self as you drive, any faults will set the light,,
, on a car that new, it could be any thing,
my guess would be a clock spring is loosing it conection,
as thouse are comon
absloutly bring it in to a dealer,
and get it checked,
